Éshe overcame the relatively difficult draw to find a good early position. ÉAt the 400m mark, she drew a length clear of the field with the jockey barely moving on her. Strydom looked over his shoulder for challengers 200m from home but the race was practically over as a contest. Melrose Point, was eased down to the wire. She won by 3 lengths effortlessly. A Point Given Filly was the highest priced filly at the Keeneland 2-year-old in Training Sale on April 18. The filly out of Golden Thatch sold for $725,000 and was purchased by Zayat Stables, LLC. The filly had the fastest time for an eighth mile work at :10.1, "gliding effortlessly down the stretch with little encouragement from her rider," wrote the Thoroughbred Daily News.
