I love this grandson of Storm Cat, and personally advised Robert Clay to stand RED GIANT at Three Chimneys. This stallion has a remarkable pedigree pattern and on the racetrack set a world record over 1 1/4 miles on turf in l:57.1, faster than Secretariat's time for the same distance. Why is RED GIANT being overlooked by breeders? You might consider him to be just a turf performer - well, be warned: I predict he is destined to sire stakes progeny on all surfaces, and stands at a bargain service fee.
RED GIANT is an athletic horse (with deep girth), who should like mares with substance. You can duplicate any of his immediate ancestors except for Storm Bird. He needs mares with Halo, Roberto, Red Ransom, Danzig, Dixieland Band, More Than Ready, Capote, Sadler's Wells, Nureyev, Nijinsky II and lots of Blue Larkspur in combination with Bull Dog and Sir Gallahad III. RED GIANT is the best value sire in Kentucky.
